•  We have wireless  Internet in all the holiday houses and apartments, iff desired.
• When you stay at our holiday farm you are not obliged to go horse riding.
•  We have profecional mountain bikes for rent (VIPER) per day or per week .
• You can have relaxing massages on Quinta Da Alegria(combination of Thai and Swedish massage).
• There are instruments like; piano, guitar,didgeridoo, 2 jembés ,available. For musicians who need or want to practice, or just have some fun...
• There are maps available for hiking tours in the neighbourhood. 
• There are guided walks through the Serra da Estrela Serra do Açor and Caramulo mountains with "Leen".
  
• From Quinta da Alegria you can drive to a lot of different beautiful spots in the region like: The waterfalls of Fraga da Pena, Dolmen in  Azenha,the breathtaking forest and castle from Buçaco, the slate village of Piódao, city's like Coimbra and Porto, a day at the beach towns Figeira da Foz and Aveiro or the beautiful Mountains of Estrela and Açor .
• There are many typical local markets where you can buy cheap clothes, local products and eat the typical "pirri pirri chicken".
  

• Children up to 2 years are free of charge and children up to 8 years enjoy a 50% reduction.
• There is a lot of space for children to run around and to be mischievous. The  animals give a lot of joy to young and old and the valley has many secrets to discover, the crystals path, caves, a little river, a water turtle, many frogs, chickens that can be picked up ...
• In Coimbra you have a place called "little Portugal" where everything is build at the size of children and there is also a "sky garden" to have lot´s of fun.
• In the village is a playground.
• You can go Canoeing with "Matt" with little children from whatever age, he has a open family Canoe witch is save and takes you along the Mondego river.
• All the holiday houses and apartments have their private garden and litlle fence on the "risky for little kids"  zones.
• The swimming pools at the Wibbel and Wobbel holiday apartments are kids safe! For the little ones there are baby pools available.

• There are many films available to watch on your portable computer.
• There is no television!!
• Every apartment has a radio with cd player that also reads MP3 cd´s.
• There are 2 disco´s close by(8km-12km) for the party animals amongst us.casa dos espiritos
• Rock climbing, kayaking,slide in the neighborhood with "Rock and River"
• There is a bow and arrows for those who would want to try there hunting skill on a target.
• In Coimbra is a "Sky Garden " to climb around and have fun.
  

• We have different containers at the apartments to recycle rubbish and waste , we also have a compost bin. 
  
• We use ECOVER  ecological detergents (Washing -up liquid, Laundry liquid, Fabric softener, Floor soap, all purpose cleaning liquid...) to protect the environment.
• We do not iron our linen! but fold it straight from the line.
• We do not use a dryer! the sun, wind and in winter time the wood burner dry our linen. 
• All lights are energy savers.
• All electrical equipment are class A or A+.
• We do not have electrical equipment that use heating(oven, water boiler,...)
• Our Holiday houses and our house are build with local  materials (granite, eucalyptus,...)
• We used lime paint and natural pigments.
• Many furniture is recycled .
• For heating we use wood stoves who are fed with the wood from trimming the trees .
  

• Pets, if well behaved, are welcome. (e.g. the roaming chickens and cats)
• We have 4 dogs: Alfonso known as ´the Fonz´ , Boogie, Nico and Fred,also 3 cats (Telma, Rory Piccolo and Timo ) 4 chickens and 6 horses (Trudy, Lusia, Lola, Quo Vadis, Milo and Bonnie)
• The nightingale sings from April to June, day and night.
• There are many birds, reptiles, insects and other wild life to watch at the holiday farm and in the region.

• The village of Midões (800 MT. from our quinta) has all the necessary facilities such as a bank, bakery, butcher, restaurants and cafés, post office, garage and gasoline station, minimarkets, etc...
• One can always join in with the seasonal activities such as harvesting, picking fruit and keeping up the vegetable patch.
• The small swimming pool at guest house Alegria is shared with the hosts. The Wibbel and Wobbel apartments have their private pool in summer.
