Adventurous horse riding holidays for experienced and inexperienced horse lovers, hour-day-week rides or just relaxing in a romantic atmosphere. Our original and enchanting guesthouse with it's wide views make you dream away and enjoy millions of stars in the hart of Portugal.

Horse riding,mountainbiking and hiking in the Beira Alta. Beautiful nature in the region of Coimbra. Between the ´Serra da Estrela´ the highest point of Portugal Continental, the Caramulo mountains and the "Serra do Açor". Roman ruins, rock formations, Dolmen, rivers and small waterfalls, the atmosphere of the Portuguese countryside, sheep, goats, the friendly people...and the most beautiful sites.

You want an adventurous or comfortable horse trekking, maybe learning to ride, an hour, week-end or 5 days.

We organize it.

Horses...an open fire ...Horses...clean air...pure well water...relaxing...stars...dazzling nature.

We also provide combined adventure holidays. This means that we offer you the possibility to discover the nature of northern Portugal on horse, kayak, and mountain bike and for those who only trust their own feet; we have beautiful guided walking-tours.

For all these activities we always have two formulas. One is a nature oriented camping tour and the other is a star trekking with the comfort of the guesthouse .

The guide speaks English, German, French, and Portuguese.

The region

All activities will occur in the Beira Alta zone, situated in northern Portugal in the neighborhood of Coimbra and the Serra da Estrela, the highest point of Portugal continental .(2000 m)

We will see the Mondego River on horseback : the largest river of Portugal originating within its own borders. Beautiful rock sculptures, valleys and forests, dolmen, roman bridges, authentic villages, shepards with their herds, ect...

The kayak and mountain biking events will take place in the valley of the Alva River, a little bit higher in the mountains.

This means, the participants will have unforgettable days of nothing but dazzling nature, lots of cultural information, relaxing body and mind on a horse riding trip to never forget.

The formulas

The participants can choose between a camping holiday or staying in the guesthouse.

With the star formula the nights are in the guesthouse on our farm. And some times we stay in a "hotel rural" .All these residences are comfortable.

Our farm has a beautiful guesthouse with space for groups up to 7 people. It has its own bathing pool, kitchen, bathroom and terrace. It is situated 1 km from the beautiful historical village of Midões. It has a church, palace and spectacular old houses of the Portuguese nobility. The village has its own supermarkets, restaurants and several bars. Lets not forget the beautiful views of the mountains.

With the camping formula you choose to spend the nights in our comfortable large tents offering space for two adults and a luggage department. We supply tents and mattresses (air) for groups (up to 5 people. Don’t forget your sleeping bag and flashlight!

On the tent trails, the back-up vehicle brings our personal luggage as well as food for participants and horses. The food is prepared by Liesje, vegetarian dishes are also prepared.

On the trails, we expect your own initiative concerning personal hygiene.

The farm has bathroom facilities.
