Our
horses
We
now
have 5 horses available, all of whom have a very good character and are
prepared for some hard work. We have kind and strong Hafflingers, but
they do have spirit. There is 1 Lusitano crossed with English blood
and
there are 2 full blooded Lusitano´s There is also a cruzado Portuguese mare.
These horses are all very sweet and reliable
,but also have pith when needed.
We ride with English equipment, the
saddles have woolen protection for comfortable riding and there are
saddlebags for the longer rides.
Our horses are bare foot, we do not use irons but "easy boots" for the longer rides.

Quo Va dis
Breed: Lusitano
Birth: 1999
He's a pretty boy, with his long legs he's very
forward. He listens very good to voice, legs and mind. He wants to
be in
front leading
his girls to the right path. A very sweet horse,
the only
boy in the stable, you just have to think where you want to go and
he takes you there...

Lola
Breed: X-Lusitano
Birth: 1996
The
baroque horse. What a character, and definitely the merriest. She
always
knows how to unravel her halter.
Funny how she always goes for the wheelbarrow; and there goes all the
dung again. Very smart and playful, if you show her who's leading,
she'll do anything for you. She is one of the horses who loves to munch
around and is the only one who likes it when Fonz our dog eats together
with her...some times she's a bit lazy but when she has
the spirit you will feel it immediately.
She loves to jump...so once in a while I have to go and catch her in
another field.

Lusia

Birth: 1992
Lusia is a pension horse;
Walking
light as a cloud. This mare takes you everywhere, always happy and
wanting to work. Graceful but with her own will. She
trusts her rider and is very sensitive, she is taught to ride on
the Natural Horsemanship way of Adam Shereston and can only be ridden
by her owner or Liesje and João ...

Milo
Breed: Hafflinger
Birth: 2000
The
youngest children and grown ups learn to ride on her, she is very
mischievous, but also a hard worker and willing to learn, very smart
she is and funny, as you can see...very naughty
and
sweet...she's the protector of the herd. Very curious as well so
she tries to escape under the fence many times and put her "catch me if
you can" face on. And ooh how she
wants to be
the leader of the pack...

Lusitano. The big boss of the little herd Her versatility and
endurance is endless, hard working lady
and very comfortable to ride without a saddle and easy to steer without
bridle...some times she is used as a fast way to move around the
farm and village...all children love her. She is very gentle with everybody when we have lessons and on horse treks...
